TULSA FOOTBALL ENDS SEASON RANKED 25th IN USA TODAY/COACHES' POLL

Tulsa, Oklahoma - For the second time in the last three seasons The University of Tulsa football team finished the year ranked among the nation's top-25. Tulsa is ranked 25th with 110 points in the final FBS Coaches' poll, it was announced today.
The Hurricane finished the season on December 31st with a 31-17 victory over Iowa State of the Big XII Conference in the 2012 AutoZone Liberty Bowl. In addition, Tulsa won the Conference USA West Division title and captured a victory against UCF in the C-USA Championship Game to be crowned C-USA Champions for the second time since joining the league in 2005.
Tulsa finished the season with an overall 11-3 record tying the school mark for most wins in a season. Tulsa's 10+-win season marks the fourth time in the last six years that the Hurricane has accomplished that feat (2007, 2008, 2010 and 2012).
This year's final national ranking is the 12th time in school history that the Hurricane finished the season ranked among the nation's top-25 in either the Associated Press or Coaches' polls. Tulsa finished the 2010 season ranked 24th in the Associated Press poll. This year is also the third time in the last five years that the Hurricane was ranked during the season or at seasons' end. The Hurricane was ranked in the top-25 in the 2008 campaign with a season-high ranking of 18th in the USA Today poll and 19th in the AP poll.
