Tulsa, Oklahoma - University of Tulsa athletic teams adopted 10 "Child Angels" in the Salvation Army Angel Tree program this holiday season. The Salvation Army's Angel Tree program helps less fortunate children in the Tulsa area enjoy a Merry Christmas.

TU sports teams from women's basketball, men's golf, rowing, women's soccer, softball, women's tennis, volleyball and the spirit squad have each adopted at least one angel and has shopped for clothes and toys to fill that child's Christmas wishes.

In addition, the TU men's basketball team will be participating in the Salvation Army Angel Tree program as the team has adopted 10 " Child Angels".

This year there were 7,851 "Child Angels" in the Tulsa area.
