The University of Tulsa will be one of only two college football stadiums to have the new FieldTurf Revolution Cool Play surface when installation of the artificial surface is completed in 8-10 days.
The new cool play feature replaces 30-percent of the rubber with cork, which in turn reduces the surface temperature up to 35-degrees on extreme hot days.
The University of Maryland is the only other major college that has this feature.
Both End Zones are blue and have a different look than the turf had in the past six years, as GOLDEN HURRICANE in the school's gold color will run from sideline to sideline in the end zone. Script TULSA is featured at mid-field, while smaller Hurricane Flag logos will be placed at the 35-yard kick-off locations.
Later this summer, the University will also install an 80-foot LED electronic sign that will be located on the south end zone field level wall.
