• Tulsa wore all white: white helmets, white jerseys and white pants for the second time this season, first was at Colorado State.
• Tulsa team captains were senior linebacker Luke Snider, junior offensive lineman Garrett Stafford, junior defensive end Derrick Alexander.
• Senior defensive back DeMarco Nelson made his 47th start in 48 career games played.
• Garrett Stafford made his 22nd consecutive start on the offense, while defensive starters Derrick Luetjen and Michael Mudoh started their 20th consecutive games and Derrick Alexander started his 19th career game.
• Freshman center Zac Uhles made his first career start. He is the fourth freshman to start this season.
• Tonight was the third game in a row Tulsa scored in the first quarter after going five straight games without doing so.
• DeMarco Nelson's fumble recovery returned for a touchdown marked the second game in a row that Tulsa has scored a defensive touchdown. They were the first points for Tulsa in each game.
• This is the second game Tulsa led after the first quarter.
• The last fumble recovery for a touchdown by Tulsa was against East Carolina last year from Will Barrow from 37-yards out.
• Derek Patterson's 28-yard touchdown catch was his first of the season. It is his longest career touchdown reception.
• Craig Suits' disqualification for targeting was the first ever for Tulsa.
• Keevan Lucas' 120 yards marks his fourth straight 100-yard plus game and his fifth this season. The last time Tulsa had a receiver with at least five 100-yard games was Damaris Johnson in 2009 when he had 6.
• Tonight is Dane Evans' third game this season over 300 yards and his second straight.
• This was the fourth game this season where Dane Evans had at least two touchdown passes.
