•	Tulsa wore white helmets with white jerseys and white pants for the second time this season. The other game was at Temple. It's the fifth time that Tulsa wore the gold helmets.

• This is the third straight week that Tulsa has played an opponent that had a bye week the week before.

• Tulsa team captains were junior safety Michael Mudoh and junior cornerback Darrell Williams, both from Houston, as well as junior defensive end Derrick Alexander and junior offensive tackle Garret Stafford.

• Donnell Hawkins made his second consecutive start, and his second start this season, starting in place of injured Trent Martin.

• Senior defensive back DeMarco Nelson made his 50th start in 51 career games played. OT Garrett Stafford made his 25th straight start, DT Derrick Luetjen and DB Michael Mudoh made their 23rd consecutive starts, while DE Derrick Alexander made his 22nd consecutive start.

• True freshman WR Bishop Louie received his first career start. He is the third true freshman and fifth overall freshman (including red-shirt freshman) to earn a start this season for Tulsa.

• It was the sixth game this year that the opposition scored on its first possession, and the fifth time for a TD on the first opponent possession.

• This is the fifth game that Tulsa trailed by double-figures after the first quarter. Tulsa trailed 14-0 after one quarter today.

• DeMarco Nelson recorded his 300th career tackle on the second play of the game from scrimmage with his first tackle of the contest.

• Houston scored on their first two possessions, while totaling 155 yards on 18 plays for an 8.6 average per play. The Tulsa defense held Houston to just 73 yards on their next 17 plays for a 4.3 average the remainder of the first half.

• Conner Floyd had his longest career punt return with a 21-yarder in the second quarter on his 17th career punt return.

• The 8:07 time of possession on Tulsa's second touchdown drive was the longest drive for the Hurricane by time this season.

• Dane Evans has now thrown a touchdown pass in all 11 games this season, and has now thrown a TD pass in 15 of 19 career games played.

• Evans moved from 11th to 6th place on the school's single-season passing list. He now has 2,903 passing yards on the year.

• Zack Langer had his fourth 100+ rushing game this season with 124 rushing yards, all coming within the last six games.

• Keevan Lucas had his fifth game this year with double-figure receptions (14).

• Lucas moved into 10th place on the school's single-season receiving chart, surpassing Damaris Johnson (1,131 in 2009). Lucas now has 1,134 receiving yards on the season.

• Zach Epps had his first career touchdown on only his second reception of the season and his first catch since the second game of the year. The reception was only the fourth catch in his career.
