• Tulsa wore white military appreciation helmets with script camouflage decals, blue jerseys and blue pants for the first time this season.
• Tulsa team captains were senior defensive back Dwight Dobbins, senior running back Matt Luetjen, junior defensive end Derrick Alexander and junior offensive lineman Garrett Stafford.
• Senior defensive back DeMarco Nelson made his 48th start in 49 career games played.

• At the 2:15 mark of the first quarter, true freshman receiver Bishop Louie scored his first career receiving touchdown and second career touchdown on a career-long 42-yard pass from Dane Evans.
• At the end of the first quarter, Tulsa led SMU 14-13. This is the third game Tulsa has led after the first quarter.
• At the 10:06 mark of the second quarter, sophomore receiver Keevan Lucas scored on a 64-yard touchdown pass from Dane Evans. It was Lucas' 10th career touchdown.
• At the 9:48 mark of the second quarter, redshirt freshman linebacker Craig Suits forced his second fumble of the season. Junior defensive back Michael Mudoh picked up the ball for his first fumble recovery of the season and second for his career.
• At the 7:22 mark of the second quarter, sophomore linebacker Trent Martin recorded his first sack of the season for a six-yard loss. Martin now has 3.5 career sacks.
• At the 2:06 mark of the second quarter, Dane Evans threw his fourth touchdown pass of the game on a 1-yard toss to Keevan Lucas, tying his career-best four-touchdown performance earlier this season against Tulane (8/28/14).
• Dane Evans finished the first half with 10 consecutive pass completions after starting the game 2 of 8.
• Tulsa scored 28 first half points, the most this season and the most since scoring 35 points at UAB two seasons ago (9/29/12). Tulsa's previous high for first half points this season was 26 against USF (10/18/14).
• At the end of the first half, Tulsa led SMU 28-13. It was the second time this season that Tulsa has led at halftime.
• At the 5:05 mark of the third quarter, Dane Evans connected with Keyarris Garrett for a 32-yard touchdown play. It marked the first time that Evans has thrown five touchdown passes and the most for a Tulsa quarterback since G.J. Kinne had five touchdown passes against East Carolina (9/5/10).
• At the 4:11 mark of the fourth quarter, junior defensive end Derrick Alexander and sophomore defensive tackle Lionel Phillips combined on a quarterback sack that resulted in a 3-yard loss. Alexander now has 15 career sacks. It was Phillips' first career sack.
• With no time remaining in the fourth quarter, junior defensive back Michael Mudoh recorded his first interception of the season and the second for his career.
• Junior running back Zack Langer rushed for a career-high 167 yards on 33 carries. He has rushed for 100 yards or more in three of the last four games.
• Keevan Lucas surpassed the 1,000-yard season receiving yards mark. He became the 16th 1,000-yard receiver at Tulsa and the first since Damaris Johnson (2009). Lucas now has 1,017 yards on the season. He surpassed Steve Largent (1975) for 15th on Tulsa's all-time season receiving chart.
• Keyarris Garrett and Keevan Lucas finished the game with two receiving touchdowns each. That last two Tulsa players with two receiving touchdowns in the same game were Trae Johnson and Slick Shelley against New Mexico (9/20/08).
• Dane Evans finished the game with 286 yards of passing. He now has 2,576 yards on the season and surpassed Josh Blankenship (2000) for 12th on Tulsa's all-time season passing chart. Evans is the 13th Tulsa quarterback to throw for 2,500 yards in a season.
• Evans also surpassed the 3,000-yard career passing mark. He now has 3,125 career passing yards.
• Tulsa accumulated 501 yards of total offense, the first time Tulsa has surpassed the 500-yard mark this season.
• Tulsa matched its season high of 38 points that dated back to the double overtime win in the season opener against Tulane (8/28/14).
