Track and Field Set for DeLoss Dodds Invitational

TULSA, Okla. - The University of Tulsa's men's and women's track and field team is set to take part in the inaugural DeLoss Dodds Invitational, hosted by Kansas State, Saturday, Jan. 24, in Ahearn Field House on the Ward Haylett Track.
The Golden Hurricane will go up against Kansas State and Oklahoma State in the three-team meet. The invite will be scored as a Triple Dual.
The field events will begin at 11:00 a.m., where the weight throw will take place followed by the shot put and high jump. At 1:00 p.m. the long jump will get started, then the triple jump and pole vault will follow suit.
The running events will begin at 3:30 p.m. where the following events will take place in this order:

TU is coming off a strong outing two weeks ago at the Arkansas Invitational, where 11 athletes (eight men, three women) had top three finishes, including three first place finishes from Bryce Robinson (60-meter dash), Adam Palamar (mile run) and Simon Greiner (1000-meter run).
On the women's side, Olivia Lopez had the highest finish for TU, when she finished second in the mile run with a time of 4:55.91. Teammate Natasha Cockram finished right behind Lopez, coming in at 4:57.16, good for third in the event.
Olivia O'Hare in the other Hurricane to place after a third-place finish in the 1000-meter run, posting a school-record time of 2:47.66.
