Men's Tennis Earns 6-1 Win Over Wichita State

TULSA, Okla. - The #37 University of Tulsa men's tennis team wrapped up Friday's tripleheader at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center, with a 6-1 win over the Wichita State Shockers.
After dropping the early point in doubles play, the Hurricane stormed back in the singles matches, winning the first set in all six positions, before earning a point from all six singles spots, to move to 7-2 on the year.
The Hurricane dropped just one set in singles play en route to its sixth win at home this season.
Matthew Kirby gave Tulsa its first point of the evening, after a 6-4, 6-3 win from the No. 4 position. Alejandro Espejo followed suit with a straight set win in the No. 2 spot, 6-4, 6-4.
Just a few minutes later Carlos Bautista earned TU's third point, winning 6-0, 7-6 from the No. 6 position, while Mitchell Pritchard took the point from the No. 5 position, 6-2, 1-6, 6-3.
The match came to a close as Or Ram-Harel took care of his match at the No. 1 spot, 6-4, 7-6, with Dylan McCloskey finishing just moments later, 6-3, 7-6, in the No. 3 position.
The Hurricane will now take a week off before playing two marquee matches against #10 Baylor and #18 TCU next weekend at the Case Tennis Center.
