
Tulsa Hosts Temple and #15 UConn in Final Two Home Games This Season

The Tulsa women's soccer team returns home to host Temple on Thursday, October 15th beginning at 7:00 pm and 15th-ranked UConn on Sunday, October 18 at 1:00 pm. Both games will be played at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.
The Tulsa-Temple game will be senior night, with Roman Edwards, Elisabetta Impagliazzo, Caitlin Jancuska, Lauren King, Kajal Parmar, Nikki Pokipala, Katy Riojas, Alexa Sidorakis and Madison Smith being honored after the game.
Tickets are $5 general admission and can be purchased at the north ticket gate, online at TulsaHurricane.com or by calling the TU Athletic Ticket Office at 918.631.4688. Youth 12 and under can get in free by wearing a soccer jersey, and TU students can show their student ID to receive free admission at the gate.
Fans unable to attend the match in person can watch it live on TulsaHurricane.com/watch. There is a 24HR Pass, a Monthly Pass and Yearly Pass that allow you to watch all TU home men's and women's soccer, volleyball and softball games depending on the package purchased.
Tulsa enters the week with an 11-3-1 overall record and a 2-2-1 mark in American Athletic Conference play. The Golden Hurricane has netted 26 goals for a 1.80 goals per game average, while holding its opponents to just 0.60 gpg (9 goals). Christina Holmes and Rachel Thun have tallied five scores each, while Tana Dake, Madison Smith, Alexa Sidorakis, Elisabetta Impagliazzo and Caitlin Jancuska have each tallied two scores. Thun has seven assists and Roman Edwards has four.
TU has recorded nine clean sheets this season, including a six-game streak to set a school record for consecutive shutouts. Rebecca Defer has logged 540:00 between the posts, picked up 12 saves and has allowed one goal, while Courtney McKeon has 830:00 minutes in goal and 38 saves. The duo have a combined 0.59 GAA and .850-saves percentage.
Tulsa currently ranks 16th in shutout percentage (.600), 22nd in goals-against average (.591), 28th in won-lost-tied percentage (.767), 36th in saves percentage (.850), 54th in total goals (27) and 77th in scoring offense (1.80 GPG) in the nation.
Temple enters the contest with a 9-5-1 overall record and a 1-3-1 mark in The American. Kelly Farrell has 11 goals, while Elana Falcone and Erin Lafferty each have five scores. Falcone has a team-best four assists. Jordan Nash has played the majority of minutes, picked up 53 saves for a .855 saves percentage, and allowed nine goals for a 0.78 GAA.
UConn, which earned a No. 15 ranking in the NSCAA poll this week, is 12-2 on the season and 4-1 in The American, but will face Memphis on Thursday before traveling to Tulsa. The Huskies are led by Rachel Hill with 10 goals, while Stephanie Ribeiro has five goals and five assists. Emily Armstrong has picked up 52 saves for a 0.825 saves percentage, and allowed 11 goals for a 0.80 GAA.
