Tulsa to Face George Mason in UNLV Lady Rebel Round-Up
The Tulsa women's basketball team will face George Mason on Sunday, November 29 at the UNLV Lady Rebel Round-Up at the Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas, Nev.
The Last Game
Six Tulsa players scored in double figures, including a team-best 22 points by Ashley Clark, but it wasn't enough as TU dropped a 91-80 decision to Drake on Saturday afternoon in the UNLV Lady Rebel Round-Up at the Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas, Nev.
Crystal Polk added 13 points, while Erika Wakefield had her first career double-double with 12 points and a career-high 11 rebounds. Kelsee Grovey had 11 points, and both Teanna Reid and Antoinet Webster had 10 points. Reid returned for her first game after missing the start of the season due to injury.
The Opponent
George Mason has a 2-5 overall record, including a 67-59 loss to UNLV in the first game of the UNLV Lady Rebel Round-Up. Taylor Brown leads three players in averaging double-digit points with 13.3 ppg, followed by Kara Wright (10.1) and Kristi Mokube (10.1). Tiffany Padgett has a team-high 6.4 rebounds per game.

This will be the first meeting between Tulsa and George Mason on the women's basketball court.
On the Bench
The Golden Hurricane returns eight letterwinners, including three starters, and one squad member, and welcomes five newcomers this season. The roster features three seniors - Ashley Clark, Kelsee Grovey and Antoinet Webster; four juniors - Ashley Hughes, Jessica Pongonis, Teanna Reid and Te'era Williams; three sophomores - Jordyn Holmes, Liesl Spoerl and Erika Wakefield; and four freshmen - Jasmine Butler, Tatyana Perez, Crystal Polk and Tyjae' Scales.
Returning Starters
Tulsa returns three starters from last season, including seniors Ashley Clark and Kelsee Grovey, and junior Teanna Reid. Clark averaged 14.5 ppg, 7.6 rpg and 2.1 apg, Grovey added 10.8 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 2.2 apg and 1.5 spg, and Reid tallied 7.1 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 3.1 apg and 1.4 spg.
Clark Named to The American Preseason Team; Hurricane Picked Sixth
Tulsa guard Ashley Clark was named to the American Athletic Conference preseason all-conference second team, while the team was picked to finish sixth in the Preseason Coaches' Poll.
In the coaches' poll, UConn was predicted to win the 2015-16 American Athletic Conference Championship, while USF was second and Temple third. East Carolina, Tulane, Tulsa, Memphis, SMU, UCF, Cincinnati and Houston round out the poll.
Adding Up
Tulsa junior Ashley Clark became the ninth women's basketball player in school history to score 1,000 career points and one game later Kelsee Grovey tallied her 1,000th point. Clark currently has 1,129 points and Grovey has 1,081 points.
Mossman Has 208 Career Wins
Matilda Mossman reached the 200-win milestone as Tulsa captured a 70-61 win over UCF on Jan. 31, 2015. Mossman had 67 wins at Arkansas, 80 wins at Kansas State and currently 61 wins at TU for 208 career victories.

Five current Tulsa women's basketball players have earned their way into Tulsa's Top 10 career lists.
- Ashley Clark is third in double-doubles (11), fifth in field goals made (436), seventh in rebounds (582), eighth in points (1,107), ninth in assists (221) and 10th in free throws made (196)
- Kelsee Grovey is second in three-point field goals made (170), eighth in assists (240) and free throw percentage with a .809 clip (174 of 215), ninth in field goals made (363) and three-point field goal percentage with a .363 clip (170 of 468), and 10th in points (1,070) and steals (139)
- Ashley Hughes is fourth in free throw percentage with a .833 clip (20 of 24) and 10th in three-point field goal percentage with a .358 clip (24 of 67)

The Non-Conference Slate
Tulsa's 11-game non-conference slate features seven games against 2015 postseason teams, five home contests, including games against Oklahoma and Kansas State of the Big 12, and a trip to Las Vegas for the UNLV Lady Rebel Round-Up.
All 12 of TU's potential non-conference opponents finished last year with double-digit wins, while Arkansas, Oklahoma and UALR competed in the NCAA Tournament; Drake, Kansas State and Northern Iowa played in the WNIT; and Oral Roberts participated in the WBI.
The League Opponents
Tulsa will play host to 10-time National Champion UConn, as well as NCAA Tournament participants USF and Tulane, in American Athletic Conference action.
Six teams in The American advanced to postseason play last year, as East Carolina, Temple and Tulsa competed in the Women's National Invitation Tournament.
UConn to Host American Championship
UConn will host the 2016 American Athletic Conference Championship at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., from March 4-7.
Tulsa Women's Hoops to Have 12 Games Broadcast Live
The Tulsa women's basketball team will play 12 games that will be broadcast live on either television or internet. The Hurricane will play six games on the American Digital Network, three games on ESPN3, two games on both ESPN3 and SportsNet New York (SNY), and one on ESPNU.
