Tulsa's Keyarris Garrett Named to Phil Steele All-America Team

The University of Tulsa senior receiver Keyarris Garrett, the nation's second-leading receiver, was named to Phil Steele's College Football post-season All-America fourth team. Earlier, Garrett was also selected to the SI.com honorable mention All-America team.
The 6'4" Garrett, from Daingerfield High School in Daingerfield, Texas, was a first-team American Athletic Conference selection after catching 88 passes for 1,451 yards and seven touchdowns. He enters the bowl season ranked second nationally for receiving yards and (1,451) and receiving yards per game with 120.9 yards.
Garrett has had six 100+ receiving games this year, including two games with over 200 yards. He had a career-best 268 yards and three TDs on 14 receptions against #17 Memphis, and totaled 216 yards and one TD on 10 catches in Tulsa's 45-34 win over Tulane. Garrett also had 189 yards receiving and one touchdown on 14 receptions against #16 Oklahoma earlier in the season.
Phil Steele also announced his all-conference teams as Tulsa had six players named to the first through third teams. Garrett earned first-tam honors, while fellow receiver Josh Atkinson was a second-team selection, along with safety Michael Mudoh earning second team mention.
Running back Zack Langer and linebackers Trent Martin and Matt Linscott, all three from local Jenks (Okla.) High School, were named third-team all-conference by Phil Steels College Football Magazine.
