Track and Field Set for Arkansas Open

TULSA, Okla. - The University of Tulsa track and field team's will take to the track one more time before the American Indoor Championships, as it will travel to Fayetteville, Arkansas, for the fourth time this year, to take part in the Arkansas Open, on Saturday, Jan. 21, at the Randal Tyson Track Center.

TU will take part in the one-day event, as it prepares for The American Indoor Championships beginning next Friday.

Tulsa's Marc Scott earned The American's Men's Track Athlete of the Week, following his strong performance at the Iowa State Classic last weekend. The sophomore from North Yorkshire, England broke the program in the 5,000-meter run, finishing in 13:47.96.

The time was good for eighth overall on the day, but is 23.32 seconds faster than any other time in The American this season.

Bryce Robinson also set a school record last weekend, running a 6.59 in the 60-meter dash, at the Tyson Invitational.
