Rio Grande, Puerto Rico - The University of Tulsa men's golf team is in 14th place after two rounds at the Puerto Rico Classic. The Hurricane carded a second round score of 296 Monday for a 36-hole total of 600 at the par-72 Rio Mar Beach and Spa Resort's River Course.

Tulsa's Matt Mabrey is in 22nd place with a score of one-over par 145 after today's round of 74, while Sebastian Smith turned in the best round of the day for the Hurricane with a two-under par score of 70 and his 151 total is good for 45th place.

Despite a round of 80 today, Colton Staggs is next in line for the Hurricane with a 153 total for 53rd place.

The Hurricane also had score-counting rounds from Francisco Yanez and Matthew Marquez. Yanez turned in round of 74 for a 156 total, while Marquez carded a score of 78 for a 157 score. Yanez sits in 67th place and Marquez is in 70th place.

Georgia remains in first place after a seven-under par 281 for a 36-hole total of 15-under par 561. Georgia Tech is five strokes behind the front-runners with a 10-under par 566 after turning in a tournament-best 14-under par round of 274 today.

There's a logjam in the individual race with three players tied for first place at five-under par and another four players one stroke behind. Clemson's Miller Capps and the Georgia duo of Lee McCoy and Sepp Straka have scores of 139 to lead the field.

The tournament concludes Wednesday with the final 18 holes.
