Audrey Jean-Baptiste and Team Canada Place Six in 4x400 Relay Final; Qualify for World Championships In Fall

The World Championships will be held in Beijing, China from August 22-30 of this year

Tulsa's Audrey Jean-Baptiste and Team Canada finished sixth in the 4x400- meter relay at the IAAF/BTC World Relays in the Bahamas, and qualify for the IAAF World Championships in Beijing, China, from August 22-30, 2015.

Team Canada qualifies for the World Championships after hitting the "A" standard of sub 3:30.00. They also automatically qualified after reaching Sunday's A Final.

In the loaded finals, the Canadians ran a season-best, 3:29.65, and Jean-Baptiste ran a 51.96 split from the anchor leg of the race.

Team USA won the race in a championship record time of 3:19.39, while the Jamaicans finished in second (3:22.49) and Great Britain & N.I. finishing in third (3:26.38).

Team Canada qualified for Sunday's final, after having the sixth fastest time in preliminary round (3:30.64) on Saturday.
