TU in Fourth After 36 Holes at “Mo” Morial Invite

BRYAN, Texas — The Tulsa women's golf team sits in fourth place after 36 holes at the 22nd "Mo" Morial Invitational, hosted by No. 3 Texas A&M. The Golden Hurricane carded a 14-over par 302 in Tuesday's second round and stands at 27-over par 603 for the tournament.
 
Tulsa is five shots back of third-place Missouri, while No. 24 Baylor leads the field at 16-over par 592. All five TU golfers are separated by just one stroke heading into the final round.

Jenni Roller and Allyn Stephens are tied for 16th place at 7-over par 151. Roller climbed one spot on the leaderboard after posting a 3-over par 75 in round two, while Stephens recorded a 5-over par 77.
 
Romaine Masserey, Zoe Shamy, and Samantha Olson are tied for 21st place at 8-over par 152.
 
Masserey turned in Tulsa's best round of the day with a 2-over par 74. She shot even-par 36 on the front nine and was even through 17 holes before finishing with a double bogey. Her performance moved her up 13 spots on the leaderboard.
 
Shamy carded a 4-over par 76, recording 14 pars in the round. Olson finished with a 5-over par 77, rebounding from a 5-over front nine to shoot even par on the back nine.
 
Tulsa returns to action Wednesday for the final round. The Golden Hurricane will be paired with Kansas and Texas State, teeing off at 8:30 a.m. in a shotgun start. TU will begin play on holes 4 through 7.
