Tulsa Heads to Texas For “Mo” Morial Invitational
4/5/2026 3:27:00 PM | Women's Golf
TULSA, Okla. – The Tulsa Golden Hurricane women's golf team returns to action on Monday when they participate in the 22nd "Mo" Morial Invitational hosted by Texas A&M at the Traditions Club.
The three-round tournament will run from Monday through Wednesday, April 6-8, at the Traditions Club. The 54-hole tournament will feature 18 holes Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. An individual champion will be crowned along with a team champion.
The Texas A&M women's golf "Mo" Morial Invitational is named after former Aggie women's golf great Monica Welsh. Welsh, who tragically died in an auto-mobile accident in 1992, was a four-year letter winner for the Aggies from 1978-1982. She was a two-time TAIAW all-state selection and set the then-record for low competitive round (68) in 1981 at the TAIAW State Championship. This marks the Maroon & White's 22nd time hosting the "Mo".
Following the "Mo" Morial Invitational, Tulsa heads to Brooksville, Fla. to participate in the American Conference Championship. The event will be held April 20-22 at Southern Hills Plantation Golf Club.
THE COURSE
The Traditions Club is not just another golf course. The terrain is unexpected, but a welcome surprise. Turkey Creek together with the rolling hills, make it a test from the tee box – so pick your tee carefully. This 7,146-yard championship course features stately hardwoods, many natural creeks and wetlands, and striking vistas of Kyle Field and the University skyline. The generous fairways offer some relief, but the strategically-placed bunkers let you know where the Nicklaus' intended your ball to land. Like many other Nicklaus Designs, Traditions provides golfers with a true championship golf experience. It's golf the way it was intended to be played – a fair test of skill that is sure to challenge and delight all who play it.
The course is par 72 at 6,406 yards.
