Tulsa Teams Named as DI Track & Field All-Academic Teams and Student-Athletes Earn Individual Honors

The University of Tulsa men's and women's track & field teams were each named as a 2015 Division I All-Academic Track & Field Team, while a total of seven Golden Hurricane track & field athletes earned USTFCCCA All-Academic recognition, it was announced today.
 
With a 3.48 grade point average, the Tulsa men's team had the third-highest GPA among the 123 schools' named as All-Academic Teams, while the Golden Hurricane women's team also turned in a 3.48 GPA and was one of 224 DI women's teams receiving the academic honor.
 
Tulsa tack & field athletes receiving individual all-academic recognition included Simon Greiner, Adam Palamar, Tim Rackers, 2015 Indoor & Outdoor All-American Bryce Robinson, 2014 Cross Country and 2015 Indoor Track All-American Marc Scott, and Elijah Silva on the men's side and Nicole Lee for the women.
 
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track & Field Team, the student-athletes must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.25 and have met at least one of the following athletic standards: for indoor season, a student-athlete must have finished the regular season ranked in the national top 96 in an individual event or ranked in the national top 48 in a relay event; and, for the outdoor season, a student-athlete must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Championships.
