POST-PRACTICE INTERVIEW WITH COACH MONTGOMERY

The Tulsa football team had its first two-a-day practice on Thursday. The Golden Hurricane practiced in the morning at Harwell Field, while the afternoon workout will concentrate on special teams with an 80-minute practice on the turf of H.A. Chapman Stadium.

"We had a great practice this morning. It was very lively. Guys were flying around and were really attentive to detail. Today, I just really loved our energy. I thought our guys competed at the ball. Competition is making us all better," said Tulsa Head Coach Philip Montgomery. "They came out with a great approach today, so we'll see how they come out this afternoon."

Tulsa will be back on the practice field for one practice Friday and on Saturday will host Fan Appreciation Day from 10 a.m.-12 noon at H.A. Chapman Stadium.

Fan Appreciation Day and is FREE to the public. The Hurricane will scrimmage and then sign autographs for Tulsa fans afterwards.
