Tulsa Football Players Report to Camp

The University of Tulsa football team gathered at the Case Athletic Complex on Wednesday afternoon for their first official meeting signifying the start of the 2015 preseason football camp. The Golden Hurricane will begin preseason practices 9:30 a.m. Thursday morning at Harwell Field

Tulsa coaches welcomed 105 players to preseason camp today, as players reported to campus by 2:15 p.m. First-year Head Coach Philip Montgomery is anxious to get practices underway Thursday morning.

"We're eager to get started on the field tomorrow," said Montgomery. "We're extremely excited about camp starting and getting between the lines and go to work."

Montgomery discussed about how the team mentality needs to be as the 2015 season begins. "We're a team that is going to be fighting for respect. Obviously, we don't have any, so we're going to be climbing that hill and playing with a chip on our shoulder. We're going to get after it," Montgomery added. "We've got to play as an angry, motivated football team. A team that plays with a chip on our shoulder and a team that always has something to prove each and every week."

Tulsa will have 25 preseason practices leading up to the week before the season opener, scheduled for Saturday, September 5^th,when Tulsa hosts the FAU Owls of Conference USA in a 2:30 p.m. game at H.A. Chapman Stadium.

Season tickets for the six-game schedule are available for $78, $150, $210 and $270, while a 3-Game Pick 'Em Mini-Pack Plan allows fans the ability to select three games out of the six-game home schedule for $45, $90 and $120. The Mazzio's Family Fun Zone Ticket Package provides the greatest value for a family, as a family of four (two adults and two children age 12-and-under) can purchase a ticket package for just $195 for the entire six-game home schedule.
