Tulsa Men’s Indoor Track & Field Team Preseason Ranked 23rd Nationally

TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa men's indoor track & field team enters the 2016 season ranked 23rd nationally according to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
 
Last year the Golden Hurricane finished ranked 18th under head coach Steve Gulley, who's entering his 14th season with Tulsa. TU is one of two American Athletic Conference teams to begin the season ranked in the top 25 nationally, as Houston comes in ranked 25th.   
 
Tulsa has three different athletes that enter the 2016 indoor track & field season ranked in the top 30 nationally, and two of them are ranked in multiple events. Senior Bryce Robinson comes into the season ranked 8th in the 60 meter, 4th in the 200 meter, 26th in the 400 meter, and he holds TU's all-time record for each of those events. Junior Marc Scott enters the season ranked 14th in the 3,000 meter and 8th in the 5,000 meter. Scott holds TU's all-time record in the 3,000 meter and the 5,000 meter. Senior Tim Rackers arrives in the 2016 indoor track & field season ranked 25th in the 3,000 meter, and he is second to Scott for the school's all-time record.
 
Tulsa begins the indoor portion of their schedule today by traveling to Lawrence, Kan. to compete in the Bill Easton Classic. The Hurricane travels to Fayetteville, Ark. next Friday, Jan. 15th, to compete in the Arkansas Invitational.
