Tulsa Track & Field Teams Earn 2018 USTFCCA All-Academic Awards

TULSA, Okla. ­–– The University of Tulsa men's and women's track & field teams each earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team accolades for their performance in the classroom during the 2017-18 season.
 
Both teams averaged 3.36 grade point averages. The Tulsa men's team was one of 141 NCAA Division I teams to be recognized, while the Golden Hurricane women was one of 220 DI teams across the nation to receive the academic award.
 
Juniors Grey Howard and Robert Tulley and freshman Henry Visser earned individual USTFCCCA All-Academic honors for the men, while senior Kiarra Reed was named to the women's all-academic team.
 
To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.25 and have met at least one of the following athletic standards: (1) For the indoor season, a student-athlete must have finished the regular season ranked in the national top 96 in an individual event or ranked in the national top 48 (collective listing) in a relay event on the official NCAA POP list provided by TFRRS.org.; (2) For the outdoor season, a student-athlete must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Championships.
