Tulsa Track and Field’s Bryce Robinson Earns First-Team All-American Accolades

TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa's track and field senior sprinter Bryce Robinson earned first-team All-American accolades in the 60-meter dash to conclude the 2016 indoor season, as announced Monday by the U. S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
 
Robinson is now a seven-time All-American. He also has claimed three indoor conference titles and two outdoor conference titles in his career at Tulsa.
 
Last weekend at the NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships, Robinson registered an eighth-place time of 7.33 in the finals of the men's 60-meter dash. The speedy senior ranks seventh nationally in the men's 60-meter dash with a time of 6.62 that he registered at the DeLoss Dodds Invitational. He also ranks ninth nationally in the men's 200-meter dash with a time of 20.63 that he recorded at the Husker Invitational.
 
Junior Marc Scott and Robinson were also named to the 2016 indoor second-team All-Americans list for the 5,000-meter run and the 200-meter dash, respectively. Last weekend at the NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships, Scott finished in 13th place for the 5,000-meter run with a time of 14:04.86. Scott still ranks third nationally for the fastest 5,000-meter run with a time of 13:37.34, that he registered at the Iowa State Classic.
 
Next Saturday, Match 19, the Golden Hurricane will host the Tulsa Duels Meet at the Hurricane Track/Soccer Stadium to begin the outdoor portion of this year's schedule.
