Tulsa Men’s Golf Team to Compete at The American Championships

The American Athletic Conference Men's Golf Championships will take place Sunday through Tuesday, May 1-3, at the Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. The nine teams will compete on the par-72 7,025-yard Quarry Course.
Tee times will start at 8:00 a.m. (ET) with 18 holes each of the three days.
Three of the American Athletic Conference teams are ranked among the nation's top-40 according to the latest Golfstat rankings. USF is the league's highest-rated team at No. 15, while Houston and Memphis check-in at No. 35 and No. 39, respectively.
USF won last year's totle by 13 strokes over second-place SMU.
Tulsa is led by freshman Jack Knoesel with a 74.8 stroke average, while finishing among the top-25 three times this year. Joining Knoesel on the Tulsa roster for the conference championships is junior Matthew Marquez, sophomore Francisco Yanez, red-shirt freshman Sam Humphreys and true freshman Marc Kepka.
The Golden Hurricane finished in eighth place last year at the American Athletic Conference Championships, while Marquez turned in a 17th place performance for Tulsa's best individual finish.
