Men’s Tennis Sweeps Doubleheader

TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa Men's Tennis team swept a pair of opponents on Thursday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center as they defeated Illinois State 4-0 in the first match before downing Arkansas Pine Bluff 4-0. The Hurricane moved to 3-1 on the year heading into a matchup against No. 4-ranked Texas tomorrow at 6 p.m.

The doubles pairings of Majed Kilani/Or Ram-Harel and Jarod Hing/Daniel Santos remained unbeaten in doubles play on the season with 6-3 wins to earn the first point over Illinois State before the Hurricane secured the final three in singles play with a trio of straight set wins.

After winning the three doubles matches to open up play against UAPB, Hing capped off a 2-0 day in singles play as he defeated La'Darrien Ledbetter 6-1, 6-2. Okkie Kellerman and Chase Gordon followed with wins of their own to complete the win.
