Men’s Tennis Set to Host Pair of Top-10 Opponents

TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa Men's Tennis team will host a pair of top-10 nationally ranked opponents in the Michael D. Case Tennis Center over the weekend. The Hurricane will face-off against No. 4-ranked Texas on Friday at 6 p.m. before taking on No. 7 TCU at 3 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
Tulsa will head into the weekend with four matches under their belt, three of those on their home court. Texas comes to town with a 3-0 record early in the season, led by No. 6-ranked Chrisian Sigsgaard and No. 36 Yuya Ito. Both Texas and TCU reached the round of 16 at the NCAA Tournament last season while Tulsa made their 18th appearance in the tournament in program history.
The Hurricane (1-1 overall) won their season opener over Wichita State on Jan. 12 before falling to No. 19 Arkansas on the road in a close contest. Tulsa is led by No. 46 singles player Or Ram-Harel, who has a 2-0 record in doubles play with partner Majed Kilani while Jarod Hing and Daniel Santos are also unbeaten in doubles.
The men are in action today at the Case Tennis Center, hosting Illinois State and Arkansas Pine Bluff in a doubleheader.
