Tulsa’s Thun-Blankenship Named to The American First Team

Tulsa women's soccer player Rachel Thun-Blankenship was named to the American Athletic Conference First Team All-Conference, as announced today by the league office.  This was Thun-Blankenship's fourth first-team selection.
 
A midfielder from Oklahoma City, Okla., Thun-Blankenship started in 70 of 75 career contests, and had 31 goals and 28 assists for 90 points.  She ranks first in assists, fifth in points and sixth in goals in the Tulsa record books.  Thun-Blankenship is a three-time American Athletic Conference All-Academic team honoree, was tabbed as The American Midfielder of the Year as a junior, the 2014 American Rookie of the Year and to the all-Rookie team, picked up NSCAA all-northeast region honors twice, and was named TU's Player of the Match 13 times.
 
Thun-Blankenship is Tulsa's only four-time first-team all-conference selection in program history.
