Tulsa Men’s Tennis Team Falls to #5 Oklahoma, 7-0

The Tulsa men's tennis team fell 7-0 to fifth-ranked Oklahoma on Friday night at the Headington Family Tennis Center in Norman, Okla. TU dropped to 4-7 on the season, while OU moved to 10-2 overall.
Jochen Bertsch and Spencer Papa combined for a 6-3 win over Tulsa's 34th-ranked Majed Kilani and Or Ram-Harel in the No. 1 doubles position, and then Florin Bragusi and Alex Ghilea earned a 6-3 win over Dominic Bechard and Okkie Kellerman at the No. 2 slot to give the doubles point to the Sooners.
OU's 65th-ranked Bragusi captured a 6-0, 6-2 win over Bechard in the No. 3 singles position, followed by a 7-6, 6-3 victory for Bertsch over Jarod Hing at the No. 5 slot to put Oklahoma up 3-0.
In the No. 2 position, the Sooners' 74th-ranked Alex Ghilea clinched the match with a 2-6, 6-3, 6-1 win over Majed Kilani.
Arnaud Restifo picked up a 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 win over Daniel Santos in the No. 6 slot, while 24th-ranked Papa tallied a 6-1, 3-6, 7-6 win in over 25th-ranked Ram-Harel in the No. 1 slot. Adrian Oetzbach registered a 6-7, 6-3, 7-5 decision at the No. 6 slot over Mitchell Pritchard.
Tulsa will return to action on Sunday, March 5 against Temple at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
