Men's Tennis Wraps Up Play at Collegiate Tennis Challenge at BNP

INDIAN WELLS, Calif. – The University of Tulsa Men's Tennis team wrapped up play at the Collegiate Tennis Challenge at BNP over the weekend after playing three matches Friday through Sunday, with two matches coming in rematches against ranked opponents.

The Hurricane picked up the singles point in two of the three matches, including the point in a 4-3 loss to No. 9-ranked Oklahoma on Friday. Okkie Kellerman and Dominic Bechard picked up a win at the No. 2 doubles position against OU's Alex Ghilea and Adrian Oetzbach while Jarod Hing and Daniel Santos took down Jochen Bertsch and Mason Bridegan at the No. 3 spot, both with a score of 6-2.

No. 27-ranked Or Ram-Harel avenged a three set loss from earlier in the season against No. 21 Spencer Papa of Oklahoma, picking up a 6-3, 6-1 straight sets win for one of Tulsa's three points.

Tulsa's No. 43-ranked doubles pairing of Majed Kilani and Or Ram-Harel helped the Hurricane claim the doubles point in the final match of the weekend in a 4-1 loss to Purdue. The TU duo defeated the Boilermakers' Stephan Koenigsfest and Dominik Sochurek 6-1 before Hing and Santos picked up doubles win number two of the weekend against Gergely Madarasz and Athell Bennett, 6-4.

The Hurricane will travel to Chapel Hill, N.C. for a matchup against #4 North Carolina on Friday at 1 p.m. before returning home to the Michael D. Case Tennis Center to take on Texas Tech at 5 p.m. on March 31.
