
Jevon Bowman Named Assistant Director for Athletic Performance

TULSA, Okla. –– University of South Dakota's head strength and conditioning coach Jevon Bowman was named as an assistant director for athletic performance at The University of Tulsa, it was announced today. Bowman will work with football.
Bowman spent that past eight years as the head strength & conditioning coach for the Coyotes, overseeing all sports and working primarily with the sports of football and women's basketball.
A 2008 graduate of South Dakota, Bowman helped start the strength program at USD in the spring of 2008 and was the interim strength coach for the summer of 2009. He served as an assistant football coach in 2009-10 at South Dakota, before taking over as head strength & conditioning coach in 2010.
A native of Rapid City, S.D., Bowman played for the Coyote football team from 2004-07 and was a part of the 2005 North Central Conference championship team.
He earned his bachelor's degree in physical education, health and coaching in 2008, and received his master's in exercise science and athletic administration in 2010, also from South Dakota.
