
Tulsa Women’s Soccer Team Hosts Final Home Games this Week

The Tulsa women's soccer team will conclude the home portion of the 2018 schedule as they host USF and UCF this week. The Golden Hurricane will take on #24 USF on Thursday, October 11 beginning at 7:00 pm, and will then host UCF on Sunday, October 14 at 1:00 pm.
The Tulsa-USF game will be Senior Night, as TU will honor Danielle Hoover, Jorja Hughes and Anna Martin after the game.
Tickets are $5 general admission and can be purchased at the north ticket gate, online at TulsaHurricane.com or by calling the TU Athletic Ticket Office at 918.631.4688.
Fans unable to attend the match in person can watch it live on TulsaHurricane.com/watch. There is a 24HR Pass, a Monthly Pass and Yearly Pass that allow you to watch all TU home men's and women's soccer, volleyball and softball games depending on the package purchased.
Tulsa has a 6-6-1 mark this season, including a 2-2 record in The American. Mia Darden has a team-best seven goals on the year, while Anna Williams has six scores. Mica MacKay has a 1.52 GAA, a 0.769 saves percentage, 60 saves and one clean sheet in 1064:43 minutes between the posts, and Kay Jones has a 1.89 GAA, a 0.625 saves percentage and five saves in 142:43 minutes in goal.
USF has an 8-2 overall record, including a 3-1 mark in league play, and are ranked No. 24 in the latest Top Drawer Soccer poll. Evelyne Viens has a team-best 13 goals, while Aubrey Megrath has four scores, and both Andrea Hauksdottir and Sydny Nasello have three goals on the year. Ricquelle Farquharson and Sydney Martinez have split time in goal for a combined 0.68 GAA, a 0.788 saves percentage, 26 saves and four clean sheets.
The Bulls have a 3-1 lead in the all-time series with the Golden Hurricane, including a 3-0 win last season in Tampa.
UCF has a 6-4-1 overall record, including a 3-1 mark in league play, but will take on Memphis before traveling to Tulsa. Stefanie Sanders has a team-high nine goals on the year, while Zandy Soree adds six scores and Kristen Scott has four. Vera Varis has played the majority of minutes in goal for a 1.35 GAA, a 0.694 saves percentage, 34 saves and two shutouts.
The Knights have a 12-0-1 lead in the all-time series, including a 6-1 win last year in Orlando when they were ranked #13 in the country.
