•      Boomer's 227 yards ranks as the 11th highest passing game for a freshman QB.
•      Senior safety McKinley Whitfield has gone over 200 career tackles and now has 223 career stops, the most for any current Tulsa defender.

•      Brewer needed 110 yards to set the AAC record and 152 yards to set the Tulsa mark               … he ended the game with 163 yards.
•      After giving up 21 first quarter points to USF, Tulsa held the Bulls to just two field goals the rest of the way.

BOOMER, TAYLOR GET FIRST STARTS . . .
•      Red-shirt freshman Seth Boomer made his first collegiate appearance as the starting QB at Houston, while sophomore RB Corey Taylor II made his first start as well.

•      Boomer's 227 passing yards rank as the 11th highest passing game for a Tulsa freshman quarterback.
•      Taylor had a new career-highs with 152 yards and 33 carries… his previous career highs were 111 yards at Oklahoma State in 2017 and 23 carries at Temple in Tulsa's last game.

•      Tulsa has a solid one-two punch in the backfield with sophomore running backs Shamari Brooks and Corey Taylor II toting the ball for the Hurricane.
•      Taylor has gained 411 yards and 4 TDs in 5 games this year, while Brooks has totaled 375 yards and 4 TDs in 4 of 5 games played.

YOU CAN COUNT ON COOPER . . .
•      Cooper Edmiston had the task in 2017 of replacing the school's 10th-ranked tackles leader Trent Martin (2012-16) at MIKE linebacker.
•      Edmiston didn't disappoint in just his second season after playing the 2016 campaign as a true freshman.

•      He had a season-high 11 stops vs. Arkansas State and Tulsa's first pickoffs of the season with 2 INTs at Temple.

•      That's a difference of 194.6 yards of total offense per game from last year.
•      In the opener, Tulsa's defense held UCA to 247 total yards the lowest output for a Tulsa opponent since holding UCF to 235 yards in a 2012 regular season meeting.
•      In that game, Tulsa also held UCA to 0-for-10 on third down conversions.
•      The most yardage given up by Tulsa this year was 478 yards at Texas.
