Spotlight on Chandler Miller…
#74 Chandler Miller • 6-3 • 293 • Center
Chandler Miller red-shirted as a true freshman in 2014 and ever since has started all 37 games at offensive center. He has twice been named to the preseason Watch List for the Rimington Award, given to the nation's top center. Chandler was a first-team all-conference selection in 2016 and was a second-team pick in 2017. Chandler will graduate this May with a degree in Accounting.
What I like about spring football…
It's really the competitiveness about it that I like. For us, it's been about three months since we've been on the football field, so everyone has a new energy and new sense of vigor about themselves.
Can I believe it's my last spring…
Not at all. I've been starting what feels like forever, but still every year goes so fast. I can still remember being a freshman living at the 7th street house with all the other incoming freshmen four years ago.
This spring I'm focused on…
The biggest thing for me is developing my leadership abilities. Naturally, I'm a pretty quiet guy. This year, Coach Bloesch and Coach Montgomery have really challenged me to go out to, not only lead the offensive line, but the offense as a whole. That's really my focus this spring.
Sports in high school…
My football coach made me quit all my sports pretty early, so I could concentrate on gaining weight to play on the offensive line. I was on the golf team as a freshman. That really didn't help the football game at all, so he made me quit that too.

Plans after college…
First I want to pursue the NFL, and give that some training and time. If that doesn't work out, then I'd like to get an accounting job somewhere
Favorite NFL team…
Dallas Cowboys. That's my dad's favorite team, and it's the NFL team we went to see play when I was growing up.
Reality TV show to appear on…
Wipeout. I thought I could do Wipeout when I was younger. I still got an athlete somewhere inside of me, so I think I can still do it.
Favorite NFL player…
Center Jason Kelce of the Philadelphia Eagles, which is kind of contradictory (since I'm a Dallas Cowboys fan).
In my spare time…
I'm a pretty solid golfer. I enjoy golfing. I only played a little bit in high school, and once I came to college I found some friends who really liked it. That's what I do in my off time. Right now, I play with Seth (Boomer), Zaven (Collins) and Zach (Smith).
