Golden Hurricane Produces Seven Personal-Best Times in California

TULSA, Okla. – It was a big weekend for Tulsa track & field as seven athletes set personal-best marks in their respective events as the Golden Hurricane competed in the Mt. SAC Relays and the Bryan Clay Invitational in California. Grey Howard led the group with a fifth-place finish, out of 150 runners, in the 800-meters.
Grey Howard finished with a personal-best time of 1:49.02, which was fourth fastest in his heat. Howard collected a fifth-place finish out of 150 runners in the field in the 800-meters. Robert Tully ran a 1:51.65 as he finished in 32nd place.
Ashley Barnes clocked a time of 10:31.41, which a personal best, as she placed third in her heat of the 3,000-meter steeplechase. She finished 13th overall out of 108 runners. Alyssa Bolliger also notched a personal best with a time of 10:45.50, which was seventh in her heat and 32nd overall.
In the men's 5,000-meters, Peter Lynch jumped on the personal-best train, as he recorded a time of 14:32.08. He finished fifth in his heat. Jenny O'Bryan placed 10th in the women's 5,000-meters as she posted a personal-best time of 17:11.10.
In the women's 10,000-meters, Caitlin Klopfer broke her personal-best mark when she ran a 34:55.89. She placed seventh in her heat. Adam Roderique continued the trend of breaking personal-best times, as he ran a 29:52.13 in the 10,000-meters. Roderique finished 17th in his heat.
Ben Preisner ran the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 8:56.22, as he placed 11th in his heat.
Mark Middleton competed in the 1,500-meters, where he posted a time of 3:47.99 and finished 78th out of 315 runners.
The Golden Hurricane returns to the track on Wednesday, April 25, as it competes in the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa.
