Roderique Gives Tulsa Eight Points with Second-Place Finish

CINCINNATI, Ohio – Adam Roderique placed second in the 10,000-meters as the Tulsa track & field team competed in the first day of the 2018 American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships at Gettler Stadium on the campus of Cincinnati.

Roderique recorded a time of 31:16.44 in the 10,000-meters. Roderique placed second and earned eight points for the Tulsa men's team. Steven Salvano finished with a time of 32:03.74 and earned a fifth-place finish. Salvano added four points to the team total.

Aleks Rapp placed fifth in the hammer throw with a toss of 56.58 meters (184-06). Rapp provided the team four more points.

The Golden Hurricane currently sits in second place with 16 points, just four behind UConn in first.

Tulsa returns to action on Saturday, May 12, for the second day of the Outdoor Championships.
