During the 2018 spring season, TU will feature student-athletes from various sports, similar to the Baseline to Baseline videos during the basketball season. Today's feature is 60-meters with Kiarra Reed.
Reed is a senior from Lawton, Oklahoma. Reed currently holds the American Athletic Conference's third-fastest time in the 400-meter hurdles with a mark of 59.70. Her season-best time of 59.70 earned her a second-place finish at the Arkansas Spring Invite. She placed first at the Tulsa Duels and the ORU Invite in the 400-meter hurdles, earlier this season. Reed was a member of the 4x400-meter relay team that came in first at the Tulsa Duels with a time of 3:45.08. In the indoor season, she recorded a personal-best mark in the 60-meter hurdles, with a time of 9.01, which she ran on two separate occasions. Both times she ran a 9.01 were in qualifying heats, once at the Jayhawk Classic and the other at the Iowa State Classic.
