Jaidyn McCallon Named The American Indoor Female Track Athlete of the Week

TULSA, Okla. — University of Tulsa indoor track and field freshman Jaidyn McCallon was named the American Athletic Conference Indoor Female Track Athlete of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.
 
In a packed field among the nation's best 400-meter runners at the Arkansas Invitational, McCallon ran a 56.11, which stands as her collegiate best, a conference leading time and the No. 34 time in the NCAA this season.
 
The time earned her third overall in the race inside the Randal Tyson Track Center, behind only Arkansas' Tiana Wilson and Sydney Davis.
 
The Frisco, Texas, native also ran at the Crimson & Gold Invitational in December, posting a time of 56.93 in the 400 meters.
