
Tulsa Men’s Soccer Drops 6-3 Match at UConn in Season Finale

Tulsa closed out the soccer season in disappointing fashion Tuesday night as the Hurricane fell to UConn 6-3 on the Huskies Senior Night at Dillon Stadium. UConn (5-11-1, 2-5 AAC) scored 4 goals in the first 50 minutes, before the Hurricane could get its first score.
Tulsa finished the season with an overall 4-9-2 record and an 0-5-1 slate in the American Athletic Conference.
The Hurricane scored 3-second half goals, but the damage was already done as the Huskies built a 3-0 halftime lead and by the time Tulsa could manage its second goal UConn had already garnered a 6-1 lead.
UConn jumped out early in the 2nd half for a 4-0 lead on Moussa Wade's second goal of the game at the 49:02 mark. Tulsa's Matteo Drougard on an assist from Marcos Moreno gave Tulsa its first goal at the 49:38 mark to make the score 4-1.
The Huskies went ahead 5-1 with 64:38 on a Ibrahima Diop goal and closed out its scoring in the 69th minute (68:35) when Ahdan Tait stuck one in the goal for a 6-1 advantage.
Tulsa added goals by Tyler LaCourse on a Ryan Alpers assist at the 84:06 mark and by Charles Noyelle on an Austen Schweinert assist at the 87:13 mark to make the score 6-3.
It was the 24th minute when UConn scored the games first goal by Dayonn Harris, but the Huskies wasted little time before Wade's goal put the home team ahead 2-0 at the 26:38 mark.
UConn's Robin Lapert's goal at the 40:01 mark of the first period put the Huskies ahead 3-0, a lead they would hold to intermission.
