Tulsa’s Smith and Robinson II Named to The American’s Weekly Honor Roll

TULSA, Okla. –– University of Tulsa junior quarterback Zach Smith and senior defensive back Reggie Robinson II were named to the American Athletic Conference's weekly honor roll for their performances Saturday in a 49-24 road win at ECU.

The 6'3" Smith threw for a career-high 5 touchdowns and completed 70-percent of his passes (21-of-31) for 331 yards against the Pirates. His 5 TD passes totaled 140 yards, covering 66, 29, 4, 2 and 39 yards. Smith, from Grandview, Texas, completed 17-of-23 passes for 275 yards and 3 touchdowns in the first half to give Tulsa a 21-3 halftime lead.

Robinson II, a 6'1 cornerback from Cleburne, Texas, had a career-high 4 pass breakups and added one fumble recovery for a 31-yard return and 3 tackles, all solos, as the Hurricane defense held ECU to 3 points at halftime, and only 10 points at the end of 3 quarters.

Robinson's fumble recovery and return came early in the 3^rd quarter and led to a Tulsa touchdown that put the Hurricane ahead 28-3 with 11:40 to play in the 3^rd period.
