Tulsa Men’s Tennis Set for Strong Weekend Pair

, Okla. – The University of Tulsa men's tennis squad (9-6) travels to No. 24 Oklahoma (8-3) on Friday, before returning to Tulsa for a Sunday matchup with No. 34 South Carolina (9-1).
 
On Friday, the Golden Hurricane will make the short trip to Norman for a 6 p.m. faceoff with the Sooners inside the Gregg Wadley Tennis Pavilion. Oklahoma, ranked 24th in the latest Oracle ITA team rankings, is 1-3 in ranked matches this season. In last season's meeting between the teams, the Sooners picked up a 6-1 win in Tulsa.
 
To cap off the weekend, TU will play host to No. 34 South Carolina on Sunday, with first serve scheduled for 1 p.m. inside the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. The Gamecocks head into the weekend riding a seven-match win streak, with the team's lone setback coming to No. 5 USC on January 22.
 
The Golden Hurricane boasts a 9-6 overall mark entering the weekend, including a 9-4 record inside the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. Senior Majed Kilani leads the way in singles for head coach Vince Westbrook's squad, owning a 7-2 No. 1 singles record and picking up two ranked wins in the dual season.
