Tulsa Announces 2019 Spring Football Dates

TULSA, Okla. –– The Tulsa Golden Hurricane football team announced today its spring football dates today as the first spring practice will take place on Sunday, March 3.

The March 3 opening of spring football is the first of the 15 scheduled spring practice dates that is slated for two weeks before and two weeks after the school's Spring Break. Spring Drills will conclude with the Annual Spring Game on Saturday, April 7.

The first seven practices will take place before spring break for Tulsa. The normal weekly schedule will have Tulsa practicing two Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and one Saturday before the break. The practice on Thursday, March 14 will be the culmination of the first seven practice sessions before taking off for Spring Break (March 18-22).

Following Spring Break, Tulsa will have practice sessions on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday over that two-week stretch, beginning Tuesday, March 26. The completion of spring drills will come on Saturday, April 6, with the annual Spring Game.

The Spring Game will kick-off at 11:00 a.m. at H.A. Chapman Stadium.

Tulsa will go into spring practice 2019 with 48 returning lettermen and a total of 30 players who started at least one game over their career, including 11 on offense, 16 on defense and 3 specialists.
