TULSA, Okla. – University of Tulsa men's tennis sophomore Joshua Goodger was named the American Athletic Conference men's tennis Player of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.

The honor comes on the back of a dominating performance in singles this past week, notching a 2-0 mark in solo play and a 1-0 performance in doubles.

Goodger took down No. 23 Oklahoma State's Maxim Tybar, 1-6, 6-4, 6-4 in the team's 4-3 upset over the top-25 Cowboys, as well as picking up a 6-3 win in doubles with teammate Tom Thelwall-Jones.

For good measure, the England native added his second ranked win of the season, this time defeating Drake's No. 57 Vinny Gillespie, 6-4, 5-7, 6-4 in Tulsa's 5-2 win over the Bulldogs at home.

Including this past week's victories, Goodger boasts an 8-8 mark in singles, as well as a 5-5 record in doubles.

Head coach Vince Westbrook's bunch sits at 11-8 overall this spring, with the team's first conference match against USF tomorrow at 12 p.m. CT in Tampa, Florida.
