LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Chenise Delce and Julia Hollingsworth were named Second-Team All-Central Region by the National Fastpitch Association (NFCA), the organization announced on Thursday.

This is the third all-region honor in Hollingsworth's career after she was a second-teamer last year and on the third-team as a sophomore. Meanwhile, this was the first all-region honor for Delce. The duo earned first-team all-conference honors and took home American Athletic Conference Player of the Year (Hollingsworth) and Rookie of the Year (Delce) awards last week.

Hollingsworth leads the Golden Hurricane by hitting a league-leading .420. She has compiled 66 hits, 40 runs, six doubles, five triples, three homers and 25 RBI on the season to go along with a .580 slugging percentage and .500 on-base percentage. Hollingsworth also totaled a team-high 91 bases and 27 walks.

Delce produced for the Hurricane in the pitching circle and the batter's box as she leads the pitching staff with a 14-5 record and 1.60 ERA in 126.2 innings pitched, while she is hitting .288 with a double, two homers and 18 RBIs.

Delce produced the most wins by a TU freshman pitcher since Aimee Creger in 2011 and ranks second on the team with 110 strikeouts. She had three double-digit strikeout games, including a pair of 10 K contests during league play. Against conference opponents, she went 7-0 in eight appearances with a 1.52 ERA and 43 strikeouts. In the batter's box, she hit .354 with a double, homer and 11 RBIs.

Delce, Hollingsworth and the Golden Hurricane (35-18) open play in the NCAA Stillwater Regional at 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 16 against Arkansas (38-18). The game can be seen on ESPN3.
