Tulsa Women’s Soccer Adds Isold Runarsdottir to the Roster

Tulsa women's soccer head coach Kyle Cussen announced today the addition of Isold Kristin Runarsdottir to the 2019 signing class.

"Isold will be able to contribute right away," Cussen said. "She is a play maker in the middle of the field, and with her experience with the national team and with one of the top leagues in Iceland I think she will have a great college career. In watching Isold play, you can tell she makes the players around her better, and we look forward to having her on our team."

Runarsdottir, a 5-5 midfielder from Reykjavik, Iceland, has played in 17 games with the U17 National Team and one game so far with the U19 National Team. She has also participated in the U16, U17 and U19 Iceland National Team camps. Runarsdottir has played in the Fylkir Championship League (2016-2018), the KH Championship League (2016) and Valur (2005-15). She has helped her club teams capture the 2018 Lengjubikar Championship, 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2018 Icelandic Championship, and the 2016 Cup Championship, as well as various Rey-Cup and Reykjavik championships. Runarsdottir will play in the Haukar Championship League this summer.

Runarsdottir was named the 2011 and 2015 Valur Player of the Year, and the 2017 Fylkir Player of the Year.

In November, Tulsa announced five other members of the 2019 signing class.
