
Tulsa Women’s Soccer Team Hosts Kansas City and Chicago State this Weekend

The Tulsa women's soccer team will host Kansas City and Chicago State this weekend at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium. TU will take on the Roos on Friday, September 20 beginning at 5:30 pm, and will host the Cougars on Sunday, September 22 at 2:00 pm.
The Tulsa-Kansas City game is the first in a double-header as the Golden Hurricane men host Incarnate Word at approximately 8:00 pm. One $5 general admission ticket will get you in to both games.
Tickets are $5 general admission and can be purchased at the north ticket gate, online at TulsaHurricane.com/tickets or by calling the TU Athletic Ticket Office at 918.631.4688.
Fans unable to attend the match in person can watch it live on TulsaHurricane.com/watch. There is a 24HR Pass, a Monthly Pass and Yearly Pass that allow you to watch all TU home men's and women's soccer, volleyball and softball games depending on the package purchased.
Aubrey Lechlider leads Tulsa offensively with a team-best four goals and nine points, while Averee Dubach has three goals, and Neha Igwe, Addyson Guthrie, Valiree Morris and Anna Williams all have added two scores this season. Mica MacKay has logged 502 minutes in goal, picked up 25 saves and has a 1.43 goals-against average, while Jazmiera Ditter has logged 225 minutes between the posts, picked up 12 saves and has a 2.4 GAA
Kansas City has a 5-1-2 mark this season, but are coming off their first loss on the season, a 2-1 decision against Creighton. Rylan Childers has a team-best four goals, while Lindsey Prokop has three scores, Halle Hamilton and Carly Janike both have two goals, and three others have one score. Erin Roth has logged 380 minutes in goal, picked up 11 saves and netted two clean sheets, while Afton Fennewald has played 270 minutes between the posts, picked up eight saves and has three shutouts. The Golden Hurricane has won both previous meetings with Kansas City, including a 3-0 decision in 2012 and a 2-0 win in 2014.
Chicago State has a 0-8 mark this season, but will take on Oral Roberts before facing TU. Barbara Castellanos has scored the only two goals for the Cougars this season, while Madison Beyer and Judith Sorribes have split time in goal for a combined for 56 saves and a 3.0 GAA.
This will be the first meeting between Tulsa and Chicago State.
