9/5/2019 10:55:00 AM | Women's Soccer

The Tulsa women's soccer team continues their home stand with a pair of games this weekend at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.  TU will host Grambling State on Friday, September 6 beginning at 7:30 pm, and Lamar on Sunday, September 8 starting at 1:00 pm.

Tickets are $5 general admission and can be purchased at the north ticket gate, online at TulsaHurricane.com/tickets or by calling the TU Athletic Ticket Office at 918.631.4688.

The TU-GSU game is Camper Reunion Night so all soccer summer campers will receive free admission when wearing their camp shirt, as well as can participate in a post game autograph session.  For the Lamar game, the first 50 TU students will receive priority seating at the Oklahoma State football game and a clear bag.

Tulsa is off to a 2-1 start to the season as Aubrey Lechlider enters the weekend with a team-best three goals, scoring a goal in each of TU's games so far this year.  Valiree Morris, Averee Dubach and Addyson Guthrie have each added two scores, while Neha Igwe, Anna Williams and Isold Runarsdottir all have one goal.  Mica MacKay has logged 232 minutes in goal, picked up five saves and has a 1.5 goals-against average, while Jazmiera Ditter has logged 45 minutes between the posts and picked up one save.

Grambling State has a 3-1 mark on the season, including a 2-0 win against LSU-Shreveport, a 3-2 win over Louisiana-Monroe, a 1-0 win over Northwestern State and a 1-0 loss to Little Rock.  Kailey Pena and Laila Loring both have a team-best two goals, while Sarah Teubner and Michaela Danyo each have one score.  Hanna Johnson has logged all 270 minutes in goal, picked up 14 saves and has a 0.67 goals-against average.  This will be the first meeting between Tulsa and GSU on the women's soccer pitch.

Lamar has a 1-3 mark this season, including a 5-1 win over Louisiana-Lafayette, but will take on Arkansas before making the trip to Tulsa.  Lucy Ashworth has a team-best two goals, while four others have one score.  Jocelyn Hanrath and Sandra Nygard have split time in goal to combine for 32 saves and a 2.80 goals-against average.  This will be the first meeting between Tulsa and Lamar in women's soccer.

Fans unable to attend the match in person can watch it live on TulsaHurricane.com/watch.  There is a 24HR Pass, a Monthly Pass and Yearly Pass that allow you to watch all TU home men's and women's soccer, volleyball and softball games depending on the package purchased.
