Next Tulsa Game is at Navy on Dec. 5

TULSA, Okla. –– The American Athletic Conference has announced that the scheduled football game between Tulsa and Houston has been postponed due to positive COVID-19 cases at the University of Houston and the ensuing contact tracing of student-athletes.

The game was scheduled to be played this Saturday, Nov. 28.

The game may be rescheduled for Saturday, Dec. 19, if neither team is a participant in the American Athletic Conference Championship Game.

"Again, I'm disappointed for our student-athletes who have worked extremely hard in their preparations this fall, whether the game was played or not," said Tulsa's Director of Athletics Rick Dickson. "Our young men have continued to answer the bell to physically put themselves in the right spot to play each week. We wish the student-athletes and coaches at UH a speedy recovery."

This is the seventh time that a Tulsa game has been postponed or canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, including two cancellations prior to the season and five in-season postponements. The Toledo and Northwestern State games were canceled before the season opened. The Oklahoma State contest was moved back a week to Sept. 19, while the Arkansas State, Cincinnati, Navy and now Houston have been postponed as well.

Tulsa and Navy play next Saturday, Dec. 5, in Annapolis, Md. The Golden Hurricane will close out the regular season at H.A. Chapman Stadium against the nation's 7th-ranked Cincinnati Bearcats on Saturday, Dec. 12.
