TULSA, Okla. –– The Tulsa Golden Hurricane football team is ranked 20th nationally in both the Associated Press and USA Today Amway Coaches polls this week.

Tulsa fell two spots in the AP poll after standing at No. 18 last week and one spot in the Coaches poll. The Hurricane was idle this past Saturday after the home finale against Cincinnati was canceled due to COVID cases at Cincinnati.

The Hurricane broke into the AP's top-25 poll on Nov. 15 with a ranking of No. 25.  Tulsa moved up to No. 24 a week later, then No. 22 and last week was at No. 18. The Hurricane debuted in the Coaches poll at No. 25 on Nov. 22. Tulsa began receiving votes in both polls on Oct. 4, following a victory over the 11th-ranked UCF Knights.

Cincinnati has an 8-0 overall mark and stood at 6-0 in AAC action, while the Golden Hurricane also went undefeated in league play this season with a 6-0 mark and has an overall 6-1 record.

The Bearcats have not played since Nov. 21, while Tulsa's last game came on Dec. 5 at Navy.
