TULSA, Okla. – Junior College transfer infielder Rylee Keith joins the Golden Hurricane softball team, announced Tulsa head coach Crissy Strimple.
Keith, a 5'11" catcher from Ardmore, Okla., comes to Tulsa after spending a season at Seminole State College. She appeared in 19 games, recording 18 hits including 7 homer uns and 4 doubles. At the plate she recorded a .353 batting average and a .843 slugging percentage.
"The signing period is an exciting time for our program in welcoming new members to our university and softball program. Bringing student-athletes to Tulsa who will continue to build upon the success that their predecessors achieved, both academically and athletically, is the goal, of every recruiting class" said coach Strimple.
While at Seminole State, Keith had 77 put outs and a .987 fielding percentage with only one error. Prior to Seminole State, Keith red-shirted in her only season with the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns.
Keith was a two-sport standout at Plainview High School (Okla.), competing in both track and field and softball. She was selected as an All-State team member as a senior; it was the first time in four seasons that a Plainview player had earned an All-State selection. She was named Lake Country Conference Offensive Player of the Year, All-State Middle West honors and District 4-3A Co-Offensive Player of the Year in 2018.
During her senior campaign, Keith posted a .512 batting average with 5 home runs and a .923 slugging average. In her junior season she hit .594 from the plate with a .716 on base percentage and 8 home runs.
