TULSA, Okla. —
The Tulsa softball team (9-7) closed out the day with an 8-0 win over the Drake Bulldogs (7-8) Friday on the first day of the TU-OSU Invitational at the Collins Family Softball Complex.

After taking the nation's 10th-ranked Oregon Ducks to a suspenseful 7th inning in a 3-2 opening game loss, the Golden Hurricane came out in the second game of the day to collect 8 runs on 10 hits in 5 innings.

Sophomore Chenise Delce pitched a 2-hitter with 3 strikeouts to improve to 4-2 on the year from the mound. Tulsa responded in the bottom of the inning as Aubree Seaney started it off with an infield hit, then Kari Briggs went deep to right field for her first career homer to bring the score to 3-2.

Neither team managed to score in the final 2 innings, although both teams had runners in scoring position in the 6th inning, and Oregon stranded a runner at third base in the top of the 7th.
