
Reed Sahadevan Named American Athletic Conference’s Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award

IRVING, Texas –– The University of Tulsa cross-country/track & field student-athlete Reed Sahadevan was selected as the 2019-20 American Athletic Conference's Scholar-Athlete of the Year for men's outdoor track & field, as announced today by the league office.
Sahadevan, as an individual sport Scholar-Athletes of the Year, will receive a $2,000 postgraduate scholarship.
Sahadevan has maintained a 3.9 grade point average in finance and has been an integral scoring member of the Tulsa cross-country and track & field teams.
He helped lead the Tulsa cross-country team to the American Athletic Conference Championship, the Midwest Regional Championship and a fifth-place performance at the 2019 NCAA Cross-Country Championships. Sahadevan has also been a top performer for the Tulsa track team, participating in the 1,500-meters, 3,000m, 5,000m and 3,000m steeplechase.
Sahadevan, from St. Louis, Mo, has earned all-conference accolades three times during his career.
